Open Call for SEA Participants
National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA) Malaysia is organising Southeast Asia (SEA) Futurist in Arts and Cultural Exchange Program in October 2023. This program deliberate preserving characters in cultural performance that includes discipline of preserving motion data and its application of Augmented Reality (AR). The output of this program exhibits AR character design by the artists to be displayed at the Malaysia Tourism Centre, Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This project will be conducted through series of masterclass to accelerate skills on creative technology and to facilitate cross-cultural context among SEA members.
Participation Benefits
An individual who actively participates may benefits free hands-on training for 5 days workshop on digital heritage best-practices from the perspective of cultural experts, scholars, and prominent industry players. The organiser provides lodging, logistics, and flight reimbursement for the participant.

Eligibility
Practising new media artist, designer, developer, or creative technologist originating from Southeast Asia countries. Only one representative per each country would be invited to participate in SEA Futurist in Arts and Cultural Exchange Programme in October 2023. Eligibility criteria:
Minimum age 20 years old
More than 3 years experience as creative technologist
Skillful in digital illustration for character design
Familiar with 3D Modeling software (eg: Blender, Autodesk Maya, etc.)
English literate and communicate well
